Saba Ali has over two decades of experience in business development, partnership building, media & Govt relations, with a special focus on Indo Italian, Indo European business and institutional relations. Since 2008, she has represented Fondazione Altagamma, the premier luxury foundation of the Italy with over 80 of the most prestigious Italian companies as Members, from across all lifestyle sectors.
As Altagamma’s Senior India Associate, she has been the key advisor in the fast evolving Indian market for luxury lifestyle products and services, with deep insight and experience of engaging with the Indian business, institutional, govt, cultural & media communities, helping build sustainable engagements with the Indian reality. She has also been entrusted with conceptualizing and executing impactful events, has lead on advocacy and building networks across stakeholder groups, including the high end Indian retail and residential real estate sectors, in all target urban destinations of India. This has resulted in indepth understanding of engagement with the growing high end Indian clientele.
She has also advised the Commonwealth Business Council, the office of the Mayor of London & its multiple agencies and marquee lifestyle companies, including The Berkeley, Tecnomar Luxury Yachts, Italy, Miramax Films, Hollywood, Natuzzi S.P.A, the Italian furniture maker which is amongst the world’s largest. She co-founded Mirabilis, in 2006, a branding and marketing advisory for cities, countries and regions, institutions & communities, with a focus on urbanization, mobility, FDI and related issues. Since its inception 2012, Saba has been on board the India Design Forum (IDF) as Senior Advisor. IDF has emerged as the most significant platform addressing the dialogue on Design in India, attracting the best Indian and global designers, including urban design, architecture & interiors.
She is an Honours Graduate in Economics from St. Stephens College & Masters in Business Economics, both from Delhi University. Saba is perfectly multilingual in Italian, Hindi & English, with a good knowledge of written and spoken French. She is very well networked, multicultural and extensively well travelled, and comes from a family of UN Diplomats & International bankers.
