Originally from the Morristown area of New Jersey, David McHugh has been living in the Vail Valley since 1992. He crossed the country to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder, taking classes in architecture and participating on the CU Ski Team. The entrepreneurial spirit caught him early, driving him to start a contractor business specializing in building and remodeling homes. All the while Dave has made sure to include skiing, snowboarding, telemarking, biking, and tennis in his life.

Dave's passion for everything surrounding the real estate industry combined with a love of the outdoors soon brought him to Telluride, Colorado. There he was a manager at a five-star resort. Not long after Dave moved to his current hometown of Vail, Colorado, where he often enjoys a not so easily accessible out-of-bounds trek home via the extreme skiing Stone Creek Trail in Beaver Creek.

In 2001, Dave began working directly with Kenton Hopkins. Together, they have garnered positive relationships with everyone who walks through the door, keeping customer service at the fore of every interaction and leading Real Estate in Beaver Creek Resort for over 15 years. They are a full service team and help their homeowners from staging the home upfront to the last detail of the sale.

Kenton, Dave and his junior partner Benjamin Finn have been awarded as the top real estate brokers in Beaver Creek for over 15 years and are ranked in the Top 1% of Real Estate Brokers in Colorado. Last year in Beaver Creek they continued to dominate the Beaver Creek Real Estate Market setting 5 of the 6 top sales in the resort.
