Cabanas is a small village belonging to the parish of Quinta do Anjo and the Municipality of Palmela, with an excellent location, approximately half an hour from Lisbon, near Azeitao, Arrabida and Palmela.
Palmela is located in one of the foothills of the Serra da Arrabida, attracted over the centuries the various peoples who passed through the Iberian Peninsula. It is believed that its name is due to the Romans and the Arabs the construction of the castle at its most point, from which the entire region that stretches between the Sado and Tagus Rivers is dominated. Palmela has been a village for over 600 years, its soil presents excellent conditions for the production of grapes and the rearing of sheep that are at the origin of the unmistakable cheese of Azeitao.
