In the beautiful southern French, hilly countryside of the Haute Garonne, just south of Toulouse lies the majestic Château of the village Mauran (31). The castle was built in 1805 and 1806 by a Parisian banker / insurer. The current owner has the whole thoroughly restored in recent years and successfully restored to their former glory. The park of 55,000 m2 is flat and surrounded by the hills of the "Petits Pyrénées" from which the Garonne river flows close to Bordeaux along the park. Picturesque villages like Martres, Cazère and Saint Julien sur Garonne, with their weekly markets and fine restaurants and golf courses are in the immediate vicinity. Yet the ramp from the motorway A 64 is not more than 1.5 km. The Château: On entering the castle, there is a feeling of "coming home". The large areas and heights of the living area and reception areas are ingeniously captured by a lush but homely decor which exude good taste and class. Therefore reigns here, above all, a pleasant feeling of security. La Salle de Dôme and La Salle de Chasse are good examples of this. The kitchen (± 55 m2) is a very attractive family room. Detailed Description Château de Mauran: Château: ± 1400 m2 habitable. Park: 55,000 m2. Cellars: 240 m2 divided into six principal areas. Two flights of stairs to the ground floor. Here you will find, among other things, the boiler room and several storage areas. Ground floor: Through the central platform at the front center of the castle you will reach the "Salle de Chasse" (52 m2) (the former entrance hall). Fireplace, the bar and the appropriate stone floor. This shows through the double doors to the small living room (35 m2) with fireplace. Through double access to the large room (70 m2) with fireplace Through double doors to the stairwell. Behind the Grand Salon is the Salle de Dôme; a very bright room (39 m2) with beautiful skylight in the ceiling. Next to the dining area of the great room, is the kitchen (50 m2) (east side of the castle). This has double doors opening onto the private terrace, a monumental fireplace with insert, 6 x Boretti burners with oven, steam oven, microwave oven, built-in refrigerators and freezers, a work island and lots of storage space. Behind the kitchen, toilets and other areas (washing machines) with a service staircase to the first floor. On the other (western) side of the Château on the ground floor is an additional service kitchen (25 m2), an additional entrance hall, a service staircase to the upper floors, the guest boudoir in the stairwell. First floor: The landing gives access to two rooms (20 m2 and 25 m2) with individual bathrooms. Study (26 m2). This also has a direct connection to the master bedroom (38 m2). The master bedroom is directly connected with "his and her dressing room." (One bedroom of 28 m2). The master bedroom has its own large bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and double sinks.
