Description
The Herdade do Gaio with an area of 800 hectares, is located in the region of Moura - Beja in Alentejo, bordering and direct access to Spain. The property with a flat and undulated morphology, consists of a dense cork oak forest in production and has 30 thousand cork oaks with about two years and also has 130 hectares of stone pines interspersed between the cork oaks.
The whole estate is partially fenced and is considered good grazing land for cattle. There are three dams, two artesian wells with solar pumping systems. Small farm in need of restoration work, with potential for enlargement of the construction area.
Integrated in a Tourist Hunting Zone.
The property produces about 15.000@ of cork during the cycle of 9 years.
Last year, cork yielded around 45,00 Eur/@. The value per hectare is around 6,800 Eur.
It is a property especially vocationed for the agricultural activity, with interesting and several incomes (N/ Ref 476).
