Description
Mountain top plot in the Picota area of Monchique, with 360 degree views, overlooking to the south: the sea and much of the Algarve coastline, the river Arade, the town of Portimao, the village of Ferragudo, Carvoeiro, the Ria de Alvor, Alvor and the whole coastline to Lagos.
To the north: a large part of the Monchique mountains, the town of Monchique and all the surrounding area can be seen.
There is a preliminary project to build a cable car from the current helicopter landing pad, where a shopping centre will be built.
At the top of Picota, a platform will be built to accommodate the cable car and also a monitoring point to observe fire outbreaks.
There is also a rural tourism project located on the south-facing half slope.
