Description
The stone house with a land plot of 1,000 m2 is located in one of the most exclusive parts of Dubrovnik. The house is located in a series of villas located in Dubrovnik's historic gardens. During the recent complete reconstruction, the owners decided
on the use of natural materials, while the exterior carpentry was made according to the original. This choice of materials is most deserving of the preservation of the original source of the restored house. All rooms, including the ground floor of the building, have a beautiful sea view and the nearby island of Lokrum and exude a relaxing Mediterranean ambiance. The living room with dining area, kitchen, and toilet located on the ground floor of the house, although balancing between classic and contemporary style, has retained its airiness thanks to the careful selection of furniture and the moderate presence of details. The idea of airiness and relaxation is set as an imperative, because it is an integral part of every Mediterranean story, white elements with grooves have been chosen for the kitchen. The handmade solid wood kitchen is traditional at the same time, and thanks to the white color, simple and timeless motif of the living area. An open staircase from the living area leads to the attic, where they are located two bedrooms and a bathroom. Wooden ceilings and doors with door jambs are handmade. Open ceiling beams strongly contribute to the naturalness of the traditional Mediterranean impression. Because it is the natural materials, especially wood and stone, that bring to the harmony of the interior and exterior, a great base for a relaxing Mediterranean style. Details in the color of lavender, ubiquitous in Mediterranean gardens, decently permeate the space, further emphasizing the connection between nature and the interior.
