THE BASTIDE
Designed on two levels, the architecture of the bastide takes up the codes of traditional Provençal constructions. Surprisingly, however, the plan is reminiscent of that of the hull of a boat, the bow being exposed on the east side, with independent entrances. The complex, which constitutes an ideal space for welcoming guests, testifies to the addition of buildings in ancient times, according to some new use or the expansion of families. The roof, in perfect condition, is covered with canal tile. The floors covered with terracotta tiles as well as the four old fireplaces are in perfect condition. The living area is about 550 m2, including the independent part of about 140 m2.
Ground floor
Multiple entrances leave the choice to the visitor to discover the interior of the bastide. One opens onto the huge, vaulted living room, in fact three living rooms, one with fireplace that wrap around pillars, white stucco dressed, all in curves, ellipses and luminous parabolas opening onto the garden. The acoustics are remarkable. A large cloakroom, toilets located at the back of the living rooms. A few stone steps lead to the dining room with an old stone fireplace. In transparency, the wine cellar then, a large fully equipped and functional kitchen recalls the passion of the owner for refined cuisine. Back kitchen, technical room and cellar. On this same level, with independent entrances, a room with old stone fireplace that currently serves as an artist's studio and can find other destinations, a living room with its independent entrance and an old fireplace. In the background, a beautiful stone staircase leads to the three bedrooms of the independent part. Finally, a laundry room.
First floor
Access is via a beautiful stone staircase. The landing, to the west, distributes a very large office facing south, oak parquet, view over the garden. West side, the master bedroom, with its wardrobe, bathroom, shower room and toilet. Private access opens onto a terrace facing west, A second bedroom, its shower room and toilet, with access to a terrace facing south with views over the garden, the village and the Vercors mountains in the distance. A third bedroom with shower room and toilet accesses the south-facing terrace. Finally, a fourth bedroom with shower room and toilet. (The last two bedrooms have independent access from the garden level via a stone staircase.)
THE CINEMA ROOM
Housed in an old shed away from the bastide, it is a magical place for moviegoers and music lovers. Very high-end professional equipment was selected. Immersion in the world of image and sound is worthy of the best cinemas. Although the room is only about 40 m2, there is no distortion of the images on the screen thanks to an Evision 4K laser projector, complemented by exclusive optics with an exceptional rendering. The room is air-conditioned, and its acoustic treatment has been carried out by professionals. The air conditioning adds, of course, to the magic of the place.
THE GUEST HOUSE AND GYM
Located away from the bastide, access to the guest house, an old stone building, is via a small path paved with pebbles, lined with boxwood and euphorbia, aromatic plants, and lavender. A terrace is facing west. On the ground floor, a large gym with direct access to the garden. Shower and toilet. Upstairs, with access to the west and north side, two bedrooms en-suite with shower room and toilet.
