The renovation of the property after more than 50 years of neglect, has been very carefully done to bring back its formal glory. The owner is very keyed on details and with great love has brought this property to its former glory.
Walking through this 210 m2 Villa built sometimes in the 1920th, divided between 3 floors, you will be stunned by the detailed high vaulted ceilings and light flooding through the tall (renovated) windows with original (renovated) wood shutters as soon as you walking in. Located in the heart of Caldas de Monchique, a heritage town in the Monchique Mountains - worldly known for its natural thermal hot springs that is said to have healing effects. The water is the only water known to have a PH of 9.5% (unfiltered) and can be bought at the supermarket. Or, as many do, filled up in your own containers and brought back home. The water is absolutely delicious with no sulfate, minerally or salty after taste.
For any nature lover, this is the location to come to and enjoy one of the many nature hikes, following the springs and pools - collaborated with deep history.
Caldas de Monchique is located at 250 M above sea level and has a Microclimate. It has a rich history, already known to the Romans back in the days whos architectural buildings, pools, bridges and other architectural buildings is to been seen everywhere and still used in many cases.
The Portuguese Royalties used this very special area as a seasonal retreat destination for it's many believed healthy benefits.

All furniture are included in the sale, as well as the name of the business - if you would like to continue to run the property as a commercial building. However, the art throughout the property is the owners private collection. She could maybe consider to sell some. could be discussed at the sale.
It will take you 2 minutes to walk over to the center of this very small village. There you will find several buildings, all historical architectural gems, included a gorgeously chick designed bar/restaurant/café with both indoor and outdoor seating, the famous Hotel with both a breakfast and dining restaurant that, if you prefer, can be enjoyed in the beautiful courtyard. The Hotel also has a swimming pool with water from the springs.
During the high season, this area has lots of music festivals.
From Caldas de Monchique it is 25 km to the second largest town on the Algarve coast - Portimao.
Whiting 10 minutes from Caldas de Monchique. A town also deep into its history that can be seen walking through its streets.
Within 25 km, you will reach Algarves 2nd larges City - Portimao. In Portimao you will find everything from the Hospital, large shopping mall, train and bus stations, banks, restaurants, movie theaters, shopping streets, harbor for smaller private boats as well as the port for larger cruises, hotels... AND of course, the world famous beaches of Praia de Rocha!
