Gargnano is a small, idyllic town on the western shore of Lake Garda in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. Surrounded by the foothills of the Alps and the deep blue waters of Lake Garda, the town is known for its natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere. With a long history dating back to Roman times, Gargnano was once an important trading center for olive oil and wine. Today, it is a popular tourist destination that attracts visitors to explore the picturesque streets, historic churches and villas, as well as the unspoiled nature of the surrounding area.
One of Gargnano's most famous landmarks is the 14th-century church of San Francesco, with beautiful Gothic architecture and a museum housing artifacts from the town's history. The town is also known for its historic villas, including Villa Feltrinelli, which was built in the 19th century and now functions as a luxury hotel.
In addition to history and culture, Gargnano also offers breathtaking nature that invites you to hike and explore. Monte Pizzocolo is a popular vantage point with spectacular views of Lake Garda and the surrounding mountains. The Parco Alto Garda Bresciano is a huge nature reserve with hiking and cycling trails and breathtaking views.
For water sports enthusiasts, Lake Garda offers numerous activities such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and stand-up paddling. Further information on specific request

"Limonaie" - The development of citrus orchards has been gradual and gradual throughout history.
Historical research shows that the system of lemon groves was widespread throughout the upper Garda Riviera in the Brescia area, but in Gargnano more than half of the land dedicated to citrus cultivation was concentrated, which reached its greatest extent in 1850-55 (of the total 47 hectares, 24 hectares were in Gargnano, 7 in Limone, 6 in Maderno and 3.5 in Toscolano), when production in Gargnano alone reached over 8 million lemons per year.
It was precisely in Gargnano that the Società Lago di Garda (Lake Garda Society) was founded in 1840 in the premises of the former Franciscan monastery by the association of citrus orchard owners to harvest, sort and market the citrus fruit as far as northern Europe (Società Lago di Garda). Only a few structures have survived to this day and therefore represent a rarity of great value.
