In the enchanting setting in the historic center of Assisi, an earth-sky is proposed with a wonderful view of the plain. The house dates back to medieval times, like most of the buildings in Assisi. It was remodeled around the 16th century due to the construction of the "fonte Marcella" fountain which stands next to it. It consists of a lower entrance, with closet for coats and shoes, and a technical room, currently also used as a personal gym, which, if necessary, can also be used as a garage. Going up the staircase you arrive on the night floor where there are the master bedroom, with attached bathroom and walk-in closet, a double bedroom and a single bedroom. Then we find the main bathroom and a laundry room with shower and toilet. The destination of the sleeping area on the first floor was dictated by the best natural air conditioning in both winter and summer, and above all by the preference for a bright environment on the upper floor to be used as the living area. The upper floor (2nd) is made up of a large living room with a beautiful view of the plain, a second entrance on the back alley and a kitchen with a delightful and characteristic balcony directly overlooking via "fontebella" and an enchanting panorama. There is also an attic floor (3rd floor) where there is a single bedroom with attached bathroom. The house underwent a complete restoration after the strong earthquake of 1997 which also damaged the Basilica of S. Francesco. The restoration involved the entire building, from the foundations to the roof. Interventions were carried out to make the house anti-seismic, in compliance with the anti-seismic laws in force. The owner has skilfully followed a reconstructive philosophy that respects the local traditions, using natural lime plasters, deposited freehand, leaving the imperfections of the wall clearly visible as they were before the restoration. The floors are handmade terracotta in some rooms, and wooden planks in others. The roof is of the "ventilated" type for greater insulation and energy saving. The systems ARE PREPARED for any future need, from the alarm system in each window, to the smoke detection system to the home automation system, WIFI and wired interconnection. There is also a pipe for air conditioning in each bedroom and living room. The heating system is autonomous in each room, with a gas boiler and hot water storage. The house has been distributed in such a way that it can also be divided into two residential units, with independent entrances.
