Atrani is a characteristic fishing village, cut off from traffic and considered the smallest municipality in Italy. The picturesque white houses with flower-decked balconies stretch along the slopes of the surrounding hills to the beach. The village retains its medieval structure with narrow alleyways and streets, most of which are covered by vaults and arches. They intertwine between the individual houses and then meet in small squares or openings. Right in one of these characteristic little squares, at the top of 80 steps, is a wonderful historic house from the 19th century.
