Absolutely unique chance to have a stud farm in its own location! If horse stables were rated like hotels, then the stud farm would probably score in the 5-star range. Most of the buildings were newly built in 2000, with the architect Ferdinand Leve, an absolute expert in stud and stable buildings, being commissioned. The horses in the stud farm have a panoramic view on all sides, including outside. All boxes have half-height fronts with curved grilles and contact with the stable aisle and an additional view to the outside through box flaps. “In the yearling stable, we installed wind nets instead of the box flaps so that there is a balance between the inside and outside temperature,” explains Ferdinand Leve, “so the horses don’t catch a cold when they come from the paddock into the stable, where they are dry and protected from the wind .” These wind nets, developed by Leve 15 years ago, slow down the wind so that air passes through, but no drafts arise - the air in the stable itself is very good. The horses, which spend most of their time in the paddock anyway, grow up healthier and more robust and are generally more natural. The old things were preserved and the hay and straw are now stored here. The foaling stable ("the most modern in all of Germany") is particularly special with a total of three boxes; the 2010 vintage was the first to be born here. The main house with around 700m² of usable space, designed as a residential and administrative building, is built in a U-shape like the mare stable. Much emphasis was placed on a construction method typical of the region, so that the farm with its half-timbered elements adapts optimally to the landscape. Old buildings were gutted and used, for example, to store hay and straw. Spacious paddocks are available. A total of 30 hectares of land, of which around 20 hectares are owned, some of which are also used for hay production.
