he house has two diferent areas, with separate entrances, but connected by a central patio with a beautiful lemon-tree: the living quarters, comprising, a large kitchen/eating area, a living room, a suite (room, bathroom and walk in closet), one double and two single rooms, served by a bathroom, and a social toilet; and a work area, where, besides a spare room and a bathroom, there are the studios.
One of the best characteristics of the house is its relation with the outside space. All rooms have access to more or less private patios. The entance is made through a walled patio with two orange trees and a tank with a running water spout, all the sleeping rooms have access to private patios, and a large long, partially covered patio, is a wonderfull outsider eating area and connects with the wooden deck of the swimming pool. The pool, lined in green schist, has the shape of a long tank, good for swimming, with salt water.
All electricity is supplied by a set of photovoltaic panels and stored in a battery bank, the water comes from a water hole and is heated by solar panels, the house heating is produced by fire places and a central system connected to a boiler that runs on diesel.
Quintos is a small town situated at the eastern end of the municipality of Beja, where the river Guadiana borders the neighbouring municipality of Serpa. Once the cereal fields covered almost entirely this territory and the Azenhas do Guadiana milled the grain produced there, being now ancestral testimonies stopped in time.
Among its attractions, the Quintos Swing stands out, ideal for those who like to enjoy outdoor moments, in contact with nature.
