Description
It is a farm to renovate located in the vicinity of the road from Montuïri to Randa with an area of 530,000 square meters and buildings, houses and annexes, of more than 1,500 square meters. La Mata Escrita is one of the most emblematic farms in the municipality of Algaida and owes its name to the mythical Mata escrita by Ramon Llull. Not far from the houses and on a slope in the direction of Puig d’en Bord is the old bush that, according to legend, gave its name to the property. It is of an extraordinary size and it takes the arms of two adults to lift the stump. Right at the comellaret on the right-hand side, arriving along the road to the houses, you can see the six aeration wells of the fountain of sa Mata Escrita. You can access the well from the esplanade of the lledoner through some underground steps.
