The history of the estate “Tenuta di Porta Medaglia and Donna Olimpia" dates back to the 14th century, it belonged to a noble family and it’s located on the outskirts of Rome close to the GRA motorway junction (only 4 Km). It covers an area of approximately 80 hectares of fertile soil of volcanic origin and it consists of a typical farmhouse, recently renovated, with several annexes used as stables, horse barns, tool storage, warehouses for the storage of agricultural vehicles and supplies, two spring water wells.
THE FARMHOUSE:
Recently renovated, the old farmhouse is divided into two floors with a total area of about 380 sq m.
The first floor consists of hallway, study, one bedroom, five bathrooms and 2 large halls elegantly furnished in traditional rustic style with terracotta flooring, wooden ceiling with exposed beams and one fireplace in each of the halls which contribute to creating an elegant and warm environment. One of the two halls gives access to a second hallway which leads to a bedroom and the stairs to reach the upper floor.

THE ESTATE
Currently, the activities of the estate consist mainly in the breeding and caring of horses, either belonging to the estate or to third parties, as well as riding activities and therapeutic horseback courses. All the activities are held in two very well kept dedicated sand paddocks, a covered circular field for horse training and a large stable with a capacity of about 45 horses.
Due to its volcanic origin, the quality of the soil is excellent and it’s very easy to work. The land is located on a hill with gentle slopes and it also has 2 spring water wells that guarantee a good flow of water throughout the year.
It’s currently used to produce fodder for the estate but thanks to the characteristics described above, it can be easily adapted to different crops.
The estate is located near the motorway junction which can be easily reached through Via Porta Medaglia.
