LLUCMAJOR
The municipality of Llucmajor consists of 16 villages. One of these is the small village of the same name. With about 12,500 inhabitants, it is the administrative center of the municipality. The coastal area is beautiful and hides romantic coves. The village is about 15 kilometers from Palma airport and is located at the foot of Puig de Randa. The fact that the town is also about 15 kilometers from the coast contributes to the fact that the town is not dominated by tourism. HISTORY OF LLUCMAJOR
The artificial caves in and around Llucmajor, like the Son Hereu cave, date back to the third millennium BC. At that time they served as cemeteries for the settler communities. Later, in the second millennium BC, the megalithic culture of the Talayots became established. The remains of the settlement of Capocorb Vell, located south of Llucma.
