Giuseppe Tassini in his famous "Venetian Curiosities", thus describes the street that in 1866 was dedicated to General Giuseppe Garibaldi: "it was built in 1807, the stream that ran between two foundations was filled in, and then it was also called Via Eugenia in honor of the viceroy of 'Italy Eugenio Beauharnais. The Public Gardens began to be laid out in the same year 1807 following the decree of the Emperor Napoleon, who wanted his good city of Venice to be provided with a public place for walking. Always full of life, you can still today savor that Venetian quality that is as rare as it is fascinating, made up of shops and taverns, market stalls and dialect. And it is precisely on the most beautiful side (the one facing east) of this famous street that a beautiful exclusive door allows us to access our property, divided into the ground and first floors of an elegant pre-nineteenth-century building.
