Teplice - the oldest resort city in the Czech Republic… Legends tell us that hot thermal springs were discovered in this area more than 1200 years ago, in 762. The healing properties of this magic thermal water was used in Benedictine Monastery, founded by Queen Judith in the middle of the 12th century.
Ludwig van Beethoven had a specific heartly attitude to the resort and visited the city many times. He often lived and worked here, creating his masterpieces. As a result, the main SPA house of Teplice was named after the great composer.
