Lucas Fox presents this idyllic rustic building in the middle of nature adjacent to the famous Son Bou nature reserve, Alaior.
La Finca is surrounded by 80 hectares of forest and fields with wild animals and has three buildings with a total of 929 m² built; All recently renovated with exquisite taste and a mix of styles between modern, rustic and typical Menorcan architecture.
The main house has a 240 m² ground floor in which we find a huge entrance hall, a living-dining room with a large fireplace built in stone, a chill-out area, a bookstore, an study that can be transformed into a bedroom, an incredible and huge fully equipped kitchen, a full bathroom and a utility room with an old wood oven. The main rooms have high ceilings with groined vaults and walls of Menorcan and marés stone. The house maintains original parts from the 1896 construction, but most of it has been lovingly rebuilt, maintaining the essence and history of the place. This entire floor has travertine marble floors with underfloor heating.
Through a beautiful wooden staircase, we can access the first floor of 82 m² where we find two double bedrooms with private bathrooms. Finally, the main bedroom, in addition to a private bathroom, has access to a private terrace with incredible views of the surrounding countryside .
At the back of the main house we find a newly built annex of 73 m² on one floor, which houses two bedrooms with private bathroom and an independent apartment with kitchen and private bathroom. These three rooms are accessed through a private porch with views of the countryside.
The third building is an old dairy farm that has also been expanded and renovated with incredible attention to the style and essence of Menorcan architecture. Here we find two huge living areas with sofas and exhibition and work tables for artistic workshops, a large dining room and a huge fully equipped closed kitchen with storage. From the living room, you can access the bedrooms, a total of four, with two complete bathrooms to share between the four of them. All bedrooms have access to the exterior and the pool.
All rooms have hot/cold air conditioning system with home automation control. Additionally, the home automation system throughout the house includes cameras and alarm that can be controlled from an app. La Finca has a drinking water well and solar panels.
The exterior is surrounded by lush vegetation, garden areas , an vegetable garden with fruit trees and fields of flowers and olive trees. The 72 m² pool is access and is in a secluded area quite high on La Finca, for greater privacy in the middle of nature. The surrounding land is mostly wild, it even has a family of wild goats that live around La Finca and animals of a protected species.
