The beach of Ciudad Jardín is located between the neighbourhoods of El Molinar and Coll d'en Rabassa, in the Playa de Palma district of the Balearic capital. It is 450 metres long and 35 metres wide. It has a high level of occupation, especially during the summer months, although more by locals than by tourists. During the eve of Saint John's Eve, on 23rd June, is when it registers the highest number of visitors. Its sands are white, the waters are shallow and the waves are moderate. It has a promenade, showers, public telephone, public car park, deckchair hire and litter bins; it does not have toilets or areas for diving.
Right next to the beach there is a pedestrian promenade with a bicycle lane. It stretches from the port of Palma to El Arenal de Lluchmayor. On this promenade there are two bars selling ice cream, drinks and a small menu. The first is located in the westernmost part of the beach, while the second is in a more easterly area, next to a children's playground.
