The area
Located at about 960 m above sea level, on a plateau overlooking the Piana Rotaliana at the foot of the Paganella, Fai presents itself as a natural terrace that offers a wonderful panoramic view of the Adige Valley and the mountains that surround it.
Fai della Paganella has modern ski lifts, the valley station of which is located in Santel just a few minutes from the town. In winter, from here you can access the slopes of the Paganella ski area, one of the most renowned ski areas in the Dolomites. In summer, it is an ideal starting point for walks and excursions of all levels of difficulty in the mountains and surrounding areas.
A few minutes away is Andalo, which with its modern sports and recreational complex in a vast area of 100,000 square meters (including an ice rink, swimming pools, wellness center, park, tennis courts, soccer fields, bowls, basketball, horse riding center and rock climbing wall) allows everyone to find the activity they prefer. The Parco del Respiro was recently established in Fai, an area that includes a forest surface of about 36 hectares located on the eastern edge of the plateau. Forest Bathing is practiced in the Park, an activity that induces significant beneficial effects on health.
The sunny position, the tranquility and the hospitality make Fai della Paganella a popular tourist destination. The proximity to the towns of the Adige plain (Mezzolombardo, Trento, Bolzano) that can be reached in 10-30-40 minutes by car make Fai della Paganella interesting also for those who want to live in a mountain context while working in the city.
