Description
With an architectural approach based on integration with the environment and a careful relationship between material, form, and landscape, this house has been conceived as a continuous structure that folds in on itself, generating all the spaces that make up the home.
The design uses floor-to-ceiling glass surfaces to visually and physically open the interior to the exterior, reducing the boundaries between them. Three landscaped courtyards are integrated into the main volume, introducing native vegetation into the heart of the house and promoting ventilation and natural light. The structure is supported by black stained concrete panels with a rough texture, which contrast with the transparency of the glass and add character to the architectural ensemble.
The rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, are presented as unique spaces, in which each element, sink, bathtub, and shower, is conceived as an autonomous piece within an open space, allowing you to enjoy the views from any point. This configuration breaks with traditional distribution and offers a freer and more fluid experience.
The selection of materials responds to a clear intention to connect with Mallorcan building tradition. Lime stuccos, microcements, sandstone (marès), pebbles, and natural woods make up a warm and timeless palette. The garden, with native plants, gravel, and water, complements the connection with the environment. All of this seeks to create a complete sensory experience, where light, texture, sound, and temperature contribute to a way of living connected to nature and the local landscape.
