Sol de Mallorca is a quiet residential area in the southwest of the municipality of Calvià on Mallorca. It is located between the small coastal towns of Cala Vinyes and Portals Vells. It was founded in the mid-1970s and once attracted many people to its glamorous Grand Casino overlooking the sea. Today, it attracts an international mix of families and vacation home owners.
An independent supermarket caters for residents in the area and is open every day for convenience. Large supermarket chains, brand and designer stores, home furnishing stores and boutiques can be found in the municipality of Calvià, which is only ten to fifteen minutes away by car.
If you dream of seafood and cocktails, then choose Cala Cap Falcó to the east of Bella Donna. Here you will find the popular beach restaurant of the same name. The nudist cove of Cala Mago and the cove of Portals Vells also have restaurants and are just a few minutes' walk from each other. From both, you can walk a short distance along the coast to visit the surprisingly high caves of Mare de Déu.
The Pinos restaurant is an attractive and high-quality establishment. Other dining options can be found in Magaluf, Port Adriano or Santa Ponsa.
