Several interiors still reflect the monastic past such as the cloister, the kitchen and the refectory in the master's apartment.
In the refectory, eighteenth-century frescoes adorn the two back walls with an attic restored to its original bare natural beams. From the balcony you have breathtaking views of the lake at midday.

In 1980 the Sacro Monte became a Special Nature Reserve by Regional Law with the aim of providing for the maintenance of this remarkable heritage.
