Description
Radda in Chianti (SI): Organic wine-growing farm of approximately 100 hectares of land with Chianti Classico DOCG vineyard, cellar, medieval villa, farmhouse and farmhouse divided as follows:
- 28 hectares of vineyard in production, located on orderly rows at an altitude between 320 m and 480 m above sea level of Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet, Colorino, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay quality and produces red and white IGT wines certified “Gallo Nero” and Chianti Classico DOCG
- 7 hectares of arable land suitable for any type of crop, with authorization to replant the vineyard.
- 6 hectares of olive grove in production of Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo quality;
- 60 hectares of woodland mainly holm oaks and oaks;
- Underground cellar of approximately 1900 m2 consisting of offices, wine shop, kitchen and bathrooms on the ground floor, winemaking room, area bottling and storage of bottled wines on the first basement floor, storage area for bulk wines, aging cellar, warehouses, canteen and changing rooms for employees on the second floor.
The cellar is completed by an external patio, large parking lot with easy access to the cellar also for transport trucks and a lift for heavy loads.
- Farmhouse dating back to the 19th century on two levels in stone and brick with a typical structure of the Chianti farmhouses of about 500 square meters surrounded by the vineyard, to be renovated.
- Farmhouse used as a farmhouse of about 250 square meters renovated in the late 90s on two levels and consisting of 8 bedrooms each with private bathroom on the first floor, small company museum on the ground floor and a kitchen and a breakfast room in the adjacent building. A parking area surrounds the farmhouse.
- Historic villa of medieval origins of about 1300 square meters on three levels, only partially used as a tasting room with a capacity of about 90 people, the remaining portion requires renovation work.
Since 2021 the company has converted to organic production.
