Colonno is an Italian municipality in the Province of Como in Lombardy
It is located between Lake Como and the Como Prealps, and belongs to the mountain community of Lario Intelvese. It is also located between the western shore of the Como branch of Lake Como and the slopes of Monte Costone. It borders to the west with Argegno and Pigra (partly delimited by the Camoggia torrent), to the north with Laino (along the peaks of the mountain) and Tremezzina (in the short stretch of the Valle dei Rovasci belonging to the municipality, beyond the mountain), to the east with Sala Comacina (partly delimited by the Pessetta torrent) and to the south with Lezzeno (beyond the lake).
The highest point of the municipality is a peak of the mountain shared with Laino, not far from the peak of Alpe di Colonno, where the refuge of the same name is located.
