We leave the hustle and bustle of St. Mark's Basin behind us and walk along the famous Riva degli Schiavoni. The already warm morning sun accompanies us as we head toward a more secluded corner, yet still close to the beating heart of the city. Here we reach our property, a true hidden gem in Venice. We cross the threshold and are immediately enveloped in an incredible light. Our gaze travels upward, drawn to the high ceilings and magnificent exposed trusses. Beneath our feet, the classic and charming Venetian floor reflects the brightness that floods the rooms. And then, our gaze falls on the main window. It's a breathtaking, almost surreal sight: the majestic dome and bell tower of San Giorgio dei Greci loom before us, framed like a painting. It's a view that takes your breath away and constantly reminds you of where you are, in the heart of timeless beauty. The main space is a spacious and welcoming living room. Abundant light floods in thanks to the southwest orientation, bathing it in a warmth that's noticeable throughout most of the day. Here, too, we find a large mezzanine, a functional, versatile, and airy space thanks to its generous ceiling heights. We continue to the main sleeping area, separated to ensure privacy. The bedroom is a peaceful haven. Next door, the bathroom with a window is a precious detail in Venice. Another element that makes this property particularly appealing: an additional open space with independent access. We imagine it as a private study, a guest space, or even for a different use, given its independence. This property truly impressed us with how it combines Venetian history and tradition—visible in the trusses, the flooring, and the iconic view—with contemporary comfort and a highly functional layout.
