(2) Summary architectural analysis of the street-side facade
Astéries limestone facade dressed in dressed stone. Symmetrical layout. Solid wood entrance door, molded decoration, oculus on each leaf, surmounted by a very elaborately and stylized carved stone pediment. Windows and French windows framed by molded moldings. Upstairs, straight lintels surmounted by cornice bands. The central section forms a slightly projecting avant-corps, decorated with a balcony with stone balusters resting on two sculpted corbels. Facade topped by a powerful projecting cornice, supported by a series of regular modillions. This decoration marks the separation between the wall and the roof. Balustered attic serves to conceal the roof slope. Capped with a Mansard roof, its terrace is covered in tiles. One of the brisis (street side) is made of slate. The other (east side) is made of bitumen shingles.
