Description
If we go back to the times when the illustrious was chiseled in stone and the valuable was surrounded by walls and erected at the highest point of the town, getting to know and delving into houses as emblematic as the one we detail below, makes us a kind of treasure discoverers. We are surrounded by an idyllic, lush and wild environment, but also friendly and accessible, full of services and only half an hour from the capital of the Principality.~~We are not talking about distant destinations, because Proaza, as a council, has everything we want to live to the fullest, but now fiber optics have arrived, so there is no excuse not to take the step and cross that threshold that separates you from a more sustainable life.~~Framed the environment, let's go to the concrete. Today we show you a house that dates back to the year 1300, with hundreds of years reflected in each piece, in each board, in generations full of changes and where the traces of another era are so plausible that it impresses at every moment. Few of us know how to find the beauty in a large carved stone, perhaps by imagining with effort the difficulty of creating such structures with no more means than pure materials and the talent of artisans and workers, who surely, were not many. Their footprint is indelible today, as the passage of time does not damage their beauty. And this house has a very careful maintenance, and has also been adapted to our days with double glazed windows, insulation under the roof, an electrical system up to par and a modern heating that does not argue with the originality of its walls.~~It is, so to speak, walled around its just over 1000 m2 of plot, and raised with respect to the rest of the town, allowing it to have the best views of the valley. It doesn't matter if we publish 200 photos about these views, there is no way to describe how unusual it is to wake up every morning with the clouds in a different position, sheltering the mountains, as if they were a scarf, and every day they put it on in a different way.~~About the house, and describing it as if it were two turrets, its 460 m2 are distributed over 3 different heights, where we highlight its large living room with a dream library, its heated gallery, its garden full of fruit trees, its two large workshop and gym areas, and its spacious and bright attic about to be finished (ideal to finish giving that last personal touch that we all like). We also have 3 bedrooms, two of them doubles, with a full bathroom and distributor corridor, from which we can also access the last corner of the house. This, being the old stable, would allow us, after an adaptation, to provide some large extra bedroom for the house, or any other possible use, since the house lacks neither meters nor spaces at all.~~If we return to the description of the outdoor space, we must talk about the granary, in an enviable state of conservation, but also about the greenhouse area, the laundry room, the terrace with outdoor furniture surrounded by fruit trees, where apart from apple trees, we find kiwi plants, two guava trees, and other floral plants and even another greenhouse...~~The house has two access doors, both for vehicles and of a clearly medieval style, and the "rear" is next to the grill area, because what can never be forgiven is lunchtime in Asturias. Next to it we find the shed with the oil boiler and its tank, and we must also have a wood-burning heating stove that could act as the person in charge of heating this majestic house.~~Honestly, we could give many more details, but... Why tell them, if the best thing would be to meet them in person?
