"IL PERACCIO" FARM. The farm is located in the hills of the Florentine Chianti region, in a panoramic position overlooking the picturesque village of Pelago, just 25 minutes from the historic center of Florence. It offers the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Tuscan countryside, a farmhouse with a swimming pool and an excellent traditional restaurant, and easy access to Tuscany's most beautiful art cities. Castel Sofia is an 18th-century complex on medieval foundations of approximately 600 square meters, with 5 farmhouse apartments, currently used for hospitality, surrounded by a garden with a swimming pool. Adjacent to Castel Sofia is a contemporary building housing the reception, the farm shop, the restaurant with an open kitchen and a characteristic outdoor courtyard, the cellar, storage rooms, the whole of approximately 400 square meters in size, and two warehouses approximately 290 square meters in size. The property includes the farmhouse called "Le Puglie." Former monastery of the Vallombrosan Benedictine Friars dated 1769/1771 on their coat of arms on the facade. The wine and oil production is completely organic. The property extends over approximately 20 hectares, partly planted with vineyards, producing approximately 10,000 bottles per year; partly planted with olive groves of 3,100–3,200 olive trees; partly cultivated with specialized olive groves; and partly cultivated using the ancient cultivation system of centuries-old olive trees, irregularly distributed across the land. The average annual production is approximately 5,000 quintals, equivalent to 5,000 liters of organic extra virgin olive oil. Over the years, the oil has consistently received recognition and accolades for its excellent quality. The remaining land is woodland.
This area is home to many of Tuscany's most renowned and historic wineries.
