Description
This house of approximately 270 m² stands over a little more than 2 hectares of land. It stretches from east to west, measuring about 35 meters long by 8 meters wide, and was renovated in 2021 to create three bright and functional one-bedroom apartments, as well as two patios, one at each end of the house.
The property is located 5 km from the small town of Avis, in an area of independent 'quintas', each with a plot large enough to guarantee the privacy of its owner, while still offering the tranquillity of close neighbours. Access is via a small paved road and, within the property, a dirt track of approximately 200 meters winds through olive groves to reach the house.
Each apartment is laid out differently, and the rooms vary in size. Each of the three includes a suite with a walk-in closet and a bathroom with a shower. Each apartment has a large wood-burning stove. Numerous triple-glazed PVC windows and French doors allow for views of the olive groves and flood the rooms with natural light. All rooms feature high ceilings with exposed wood beams, creating a sense of spaciousness. Numerous mosaics and colourful paintings adorn the floors and walls, adding a playful touch to the apartments. These decorative elements are also found in the outdoor spaces.
The first apartment, approximately 60 m², has a living room that provides access to either the suite or the dining room (where the entrance door is located), which opens onto the kitchen. Both the kitchen and bedroom have large sliding windows that open onto a charming patio with a traditional bread oven.
The second apartment, approximately 53 m², has a living / dining room where the entrance door is located and which provides access to either the suite or the kitchen.
The third apartment, approximately 73 m², has a large living / dining room that connects to the kitchen. This apartment also has an additional room with a mezzanine, which provides access to either the suite or a large patio, part of which is covered.
The house is connected to the city's electricity network. There are four wells and a biological septic tank. Two water cylinders are heated by photovoltaic solar panels. All three apartments have their own internet and TV connections.
The half-moon-shaped area adjacent to the house has been beautifully landscaped. It features:
Numerous plants and trees scattered across the white gravel platform
A paved terrace running all along the house and facing south
A barbecue area
Two chill-out areas, one of which is covered in vegetation
Below this area, there is a ruin, formerly used for pigs, and the land slopes gently down to a stream. Opposite the house, an area extending to the road has been fenced for pets. Within this area is an outbuilding that can be used as a workshop or garage. In addition to hundreds of olive trees, there are also several fruit trees (orange, pear, and apple).
This property offers the benefit of hosting family or friends while preserving their privacy. It could also represent a good investment for renting out the apartments year-round or as tourist accommodation.
Avis offers all kind of local shops as well as small supermarkets, restaurants, a health centre, a secondary school, a swimming pool and even a beach on the edge of a large artificial lake. It is located 30 minutes from Estremoz and 1 hour 45 minutes from Lisbon.
