Description
This splendid villa was built in 1904 by engineer Gay in the style of Turin's Art Nouveau style, taking place between the National Exhibition of 1898 and the International Exhibition of 1911. Completely restored in 2007, the home was restored to its original splendor by integrating modern technologies. The approximately 370 square meter building features a main façade embellished with a monumental walnut portal carved in a "baroque spiderweb" motif. An elegant balcony overlooks the street, while a large travertine base and bronze decorations complete the exterior aesthetic. Above, a terrace with a balustrade and cast iron vases houses ornamental agaves. The side façades retain their rich Art Nouveau decoration. There is a large courtyard of approximately 170 square meters, dominated by a centuries-old beech tree, a fountain with an Indian statue, and an 18th-century basin, as well as a double garage. The flooring alternates Lecce stone and cobblestone inserts, with references to feng shui; cast iron street lamps and numerous vases with camellias and rhododendrons enrich the space. The main entrance to the property is through an elegant hallway, illuminated by a period chandelier and adorned with a niche featuring an 18th-century painting, Verde Alpi and Busca marbles, and Apulian Chianca Classica flooring. The internal façade and conservatory feature Art Nouveau motifs, while inside, every room is paved with handcrafted Sicilian cement tiles. On the ground floor, the spacious living room features a Verde Alpi and Rosso Cesana marble fireplace, a 1920s piano, and original decorations. From here, you access the TV room and conservatory. A grand marble staircase leads to the first floor, which features a library with a frescoed ceiling, a kitchen with a Louis XVI fireplace and access to the terrace overlooking the courtyard, and a dining room with a coffered ceiling and several works attributed to Claudio Francesco Beaumont. The first floor is completed by a guest bedroom with a private bathroom and a refined salon de bain. The second floor boasts two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms lined with artistic glass, one with a study, and both open to a large panoramic terrace overlooking the street, measuring approximately 80 square meters. The home also includes a rumpus room with utility rooms, a small gym, a play area, and a wine cellar. Modern systems include underfloor heating and cooling, a burglar alarm, CCTV, automatic irrigation, and Ethernet cabling.
