Amidst the folds of time, nestled in the majestic setting of the Mont Blanc massif, a chalet takes shape, destined to narrate a story of rebirth and transformation. The original building, an ancient 19th-century dwelling, had evolved over the decades, changing its identity: from a single home to multiple residential units in the '90s, yet retaining the discreet charm of a distant past.
Today, the construction site is alive with the bustle of comprehensive renovation and volumetric expansion. The new volumes, geometrically defined, are emerging from the original outline, powerfully delineating a dialogue between ancient and contemporary. Every intervention is designed to ensure the highest standards of quality and prestige, without neglecting energy efficiency: the future chalet will be class A, with south-facing solar panels and eco-sustainable construction solutions.
The structure under construction already shows the synergy between modern construction techniques, designed to withstand seismic stresses and respect the environment. The wooden roof, with a slate finish, will replace the original covering, while new openings and breaches in the perimeter walls will allow natural light to filter into the rooms. An additional volume on the ground floor, overlooking Mont Blanc, is being realized, harmoniously connecting with the pre-existing portion through targeted interventions in the load-bearing masonry.
The exterior finishes are also taking shape: the horizontal wooden boiserie with an aged effect, rustic plaster, thresholds, and sills in wood, aluminum, or stone are finding their place, while gutters and fascias in sheet metal or copper are being installed according to the Superintendency's prescriptions. The external paving in Luserna stone slabs will be laid around the chalet, completing the ensemble with elegance and solidity.
Finally, the elevator, capable of accommodating seven people, will be integrated to connect the floors with full functionality, without compromising the chalet's refined aesthetics. Between history and innovation, old and new, the project takes shape, and soon the chalet will offer a unique living experience, suspended between the majesty of the mountains and the intimacy of wood and stone.
