The town of Pasturo (Pastür in the Valsassinese dialect) is an Italian municipality of 1969 inhabitants, in the province of Lecco in Lombardy. It is mentioned in the novel "The Betrothed" by Alessandro Manzoni as the place of origin of Agnese, the mother of the female protagonist Lucia. The poet Antonia Pozzi, who spent several years of her life in Pasturo in the family's holiday home, is buried in the small cemetery of the municipality[6]. Situated at the foot of the Grigna Settentrionale and a starting point for excursions to the Pialeral and Brioschi refuges, Pasturo is also home to important local fairs such as the Sagra delle Sagre (August) and the Manifestazione Zootecnica Valsassinese (September).
