The house on 27 HaRav Kook St. was built at the beginning of the 20th century on a sandy area south of "Derech Hayam" (currently Allenby St), as part of a peaceful residential neighborhood.
This is a unique conservation and restoration project including 12 prestigious, modern and spacious apartments designed by GalPeleg Architectures.
The building with its special beauty, built in a restrained and symmetric style, is located in a perfect and quite area between the seaside and Kerem HaTeimanim neighborhood.
A touch away from the seaside and a short walk from the heart of the city – the center of the bustling life of Shenkin St., Bialik St., Nachalat Binyamin and Carmel Market, 27 HaRav Kook enjoys the peace and quiet which envisage Tel Aviv of the old days – a city of sea, sand, market and the sun, combined with the comfort, the design and the luxury of the new millennium.
PERFECT SYMETRY
The house on 27 HaRav Kook St., also known as the Gorodnchik building, was designed by architect Victor Hayon, in 1922. The street where the house is located is named after the first chief rabbi of Israel – of the prominent Torah scholars in recent generations – Rabbi Isaac HaCohen Kook.
The two-story residence, built in the eclectic style characteristic of Little Tel Aviv, is prominent in it quintessential symmetric design and rich decorative and architectural elements typical the first years of Tel Aviv.
The house is part of the neighborhood fabric of similar houses, including two or three floors and a tile roof, most of which have been restored and preserved. The emerging architectural uniqueness of the White City – the city of Bialik, Dizengoff and Gutman, is reflected in every corner.
When sitting on the balcony enjoying the evening breeze of a warm Tel Avivian evening, it is almost hard to believe that the house on 27 HaRav Kook St. is so close to the bustling life centers of the city that never sleeps.
There is nothing like the feeling of bare feet on the warm sand on a Tel Avivian sunny day. It is hard to resist the spectacular seafront located right under the house. The beach atmosphere and freedom calls to get out and run along the promenade, stand on the pier to watch the fishermen, sit in cafes and restaurants on the water or just walk down to the sand for a peaceful afternoon stroll.
A few minutes' walk will bring you to the updated Shenkin Street, where you can shop in special boutiques, enjoy friends, cultural events, food courts and restaurants. A short walk to the colorful Carmel Market and you can enjoy fruits and vegetables that have just been picked up, fresh and fragrant bread and a lot of restaurants and entertainment options in the narrow and colorful streets of Kerem HaTaimanim neighborhood. THE ARCHITECT
GalPeleg Architects commenced its way in 2004 in Tel Aviv. The firm specialized in unique residential projects, including building for preservation, new buildings of historical textures and private homes.
The projects handled by the office integrate between a sharp and clear space concept and materialism, color and texture. The work process relies on observing the existing environment together with a contemporary personal statement. The office design work is inspired by analyzing historic buildings and their language exposure, as well as by the free world of painting, the line and the color.
The aspiration is always to the exact place, located on the border between the designed and the simple, the monochromatic and the colorful, between order and disorder, and aesthetics, which leaves room for breathing.

Served in a variety of positions in the construction industry – planning structures and infrastructures, VP of Engineering in a contracting company and manager of the Technion construction and infrastructure testing unit.
Yair Krinski: Lawyer, holds a Master's degree in Business Administration of Tel Aviv University, has broad experience in initiating real estate projects; has rich international business and marketing experience. Serves as Lieutenant Colonel (Res.) in the role of battalion commander in the Home Front Command.
