Inspiration

In search for inspiration the owners and architects spent months travelling from Tuscany to Rome visiting castles and famous landmarks before embarking on this remarkable project. The pieces used were hand-picked and engineered to bring each idea of the architects and owners to reality. This masterpiece in neo-classical Italian design, promises to be more than just a splendid home.
Brief Description

Situated on a 11,000 m2 estate with exquisite gardens, a symphony of fountains, water features, palm trees and bougainvillea’s, allows a beautiful secluded panoramic view from anywhere on the property. The residence is 2,600 m2 with the outside of the villa clad in Lebanese stone and the inside adorned with monarchical coloured marble, this promises a lavish yet relaxing accommodation.
The floors include a variety of material such as white marble from Thasos, Giallo di Sienna, black marble from Belgium, travertine from Italy and Macauba from Italy. Bedroom floors are adorned by stone and wood with inlay detail.
On entering the double volume entrance one is aware of the classical elegance lit by aristocratic Barovier chandeliers, leading to a full view of the marble staircase decorated in solid brass.
Upstairs you will find 3 large bedrooms en suite with the bathroom floors and walls decorated with marble.
The Master bedroom can also be accessed by an internal elevator. On entering one cannot help but notice the two separate dressing rooms, an antique fire place imported from Italy, a steam room in the shower area, hand painted cupboards to mention just a few its features.
There is a separate linen room upstairs as well as a Television / Family Room.
Downstairs there are three reception rooms all designed with a different purpose in mind. They are created such that one can enjoy them individually in a cosy atmosphere with few guests or easily be used in conjunction for larger parties and private gatherings.
The first reception room shares a double sided fire place with a second reception room. It has a large bar area with easy access to an underground wine cellar and just off it a leather clad snooker room / games room with a full sized Riley classic snooker table. Both reception rooms look onto the indoor pool which can be accessed from these rooms.
The Dining Room seats 24 people and is embellished with 2 Barovier & Toso Venetian hanging chandeliers and 4 wall chandeliers.
With a separate entrance and internally connected the Library and Office is adorned with a wall to wall wooden bookcase, manufactured in Italy and assembled by the same team to maintain the quality and finish.
From the Library as well as its own entrance 2 en suite guest rooms can be accessed.
The Kitchen with a practical day to day eating area for 10 people, includes a walk-in fridge, another fridge with water and ice dispenser, 2 pantries, a laundry room and a practical separate room with griller, gas, fryer and steam oven to avoid smells entering the rest of the kitchen area.
The large outdoor swimming pool has mosaic designed by Bisazza, with an entertainment area and outdoor dining with barbecue rotisserie and clay oven.
There is security that includes electric gates for all driveways with an intercom system and CCTV camera system.
As a feature of its own the tennis court is found in the garden overlooking a small stone bridge with a separate patio to host tennis parties.
There is ample parking including covered garage parking for 4 cars and guest parking can include over a dozen cars which can be parked at the entrance or on the tennis court drive way.
Staff can be housed in quarters which include two bedrooms with a separate toilet, a bathroom, kitchen and sitting room.
