One of the property’s pools stretches out between two wings of the house; the other is located indoors and has an inset hot tub. You can either work up a sweat in the villa’s gym or in the sauna and Turkish bath, and at the end of a day of sightseeing or sunbathing, retreat to the media room.
White walls, two-story windows edged in dark metal and a flat gray fireplace surround give the great room at Villa Palo Alto a modern, Miami-cool vibe. Far from being austere, though, the space is enlivened by a tufted sofa, geometric vases, oversized pendants and woven plum-colored dining chairs. For your convenience, the home has a fully equipped kitchen.
Each of the four bedrooms at Villa Palo Alto has a king bed and en-suite bathroom. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and two upstairs; the second-floor bedrooms have dressing areas as well. Parties needing more space can use the staff apartment, which has a bedroom with en-suite bathroom, living room and kitchenette, and the children’s bedroom, which has two double beds.
Though the villa makes you feel surrounded by lawn, hills, sky and sea, it’s actually just a 10-minute drive from Marbella and Puerto Banus Beach, an 11-minute drive from San Pedro Alcantara and a 13-minute drive from Plaza de los Naranjos. Spend an afternoon at Nikki Beach, a 25-minute drive away, or take a day trip to Malaga, 40 miles away, or Gibraltar, 43 miles away. The most convenient airport is in Malaga and is 42 miles away.
