Castle in Bavaria Via an alley lined with old blood beech trees one reaches the imposing castle complex. Through the gate, which is framed by two side feet, the path leads to the spacious courtyard overlooking the main castle. To the right, the castle courtyard is completed by the Prinzenbau and the stables, left hand limit castle wall and warehouse building the plant. Continue to the library with the picturesque tower to the farm building, probably the oldest part of the castle. Crossing the bridge, you reach the main building and enter through the imposing door into a hall that leads into the inner courtyard of the main castle and is framed by two side wings and the castle wall. From this hall you reach the chapel on the left and on the right in the entrance hall with its wall paneling showing old engravings, hunting and riding scenes. On the red carpet, there is an impressive oak staircase to the 1st and 2nd floor of the castle. Here, on parquet floors made of fine woods, we find rooms that line up and are furnished with ornate tiled stoves and open fireplaces in the salon or the study rooms. From here you also have a magnificent view over the valley, as the castle is located on a hill. The unique "Forest Botanical Park", which was created with trees and shrubs from all over the world, is located in front of the castle. Strolling through the park, the 160-year-old giant trees from all continents and the massive rhododendron bushes that thrive in this special, mild climate are impressive.
