Recline Ridge is an idyllic, estate winery located in the heart of British Columbia's Shuswap region, which is an incredible destination for vacationers in search of outdoor adventure. This area which is home to ten wineries is considered one of the most northern grape growing areas in North America and because of its strong lake influence and topography each vineyard in the Shuswap has its own individual micro climate, providing special characteristics to the wines produced there. The first vines were planted in 1994 at Recline Ridge and the winery was established in 1999. The winery has a very solid reputation for producing and specializing in unique wines and has won double gold awards for their Ortega and Sieggerrebe. By using only estate grown and locally sourced grapes, such as Sieggerrebe, Madeline Angevine, Madeline Sylvaner, Marechal Foch, Pinot Noir and Zweigelt, these are among the varietals that Recline Ridge uses to create wines true to its region. On a picturesque 10-acre site with vineyards, a large wine shop with licensed picnic area and patio which is capable of handling large groups and bus tours the Recline Ridge Tasting Room provides a friendly, knowledgeable and fun experience for visitors from all over. The property also features a locally made, custom log home, large garage and winemaker's suite above the winery. The average annual production of the winery is about 2,500 cases with room for expansion and the winery has established strong direct, retail and LRS sales channels.
