The space of an old farmhouse, which is referenced as part of the historical and cultural heritage of the municipality of Arruda.
Its origin dates back to the 17th century, while agricultural property with exploitation of vine and olive. Has a set of buildings associated with this exploration, never having worked as the residence of the owners. The set built part a small chapel and facilities for the homemade and helpers in the fields.
Recently was built sided to the property an infrastructure support for Equestrian Activities - Dressage/Riding School, intend to create conditions for their full development alongside the sports and tourism aspect nationally and internationally and even development of a center of studies related with the equestrian world, where could be taught higher education courses and training of future riders.
At a meeting on the Municipal Chamber, was declared of public interest the complex to develop, and was ratified by the City Council in June 2005.
Later, in the same Chamber meeting decided to approve the proposal for the implementation of the plan for the detail. The School obtained from the Turismo de Portugal, Declaration of interest for national tourism.
In this way it is considered that this infrastructure associated with a set of other tourist offerings, has all the potential to become a dynamic pole and added value generator for the municipality of Arruda and for the region in terms of economic development, tourism, and recreation.
In view of the above and with the entry into force of the PROTOVT plan, that points to the possibility of creating innovative tourist products able to strengthen a diversified and differentiated tourism supported on local tourism products and whereas the revision of a master plan presents timmings which sometimes accompany the development opportunities arising, existing detail plan figure that allow a greater dynamics in planning. It is therefore appropriate and timely preparation of the detailed Plan used for the property.
Rural area or mixed, low-density heterogeneous construction zone; excellent accesses, a few minutes from the main links to Lisbon, including A1-Norte. 20 minute drive from the Airport; 4km from the nearest town and 7km from Vila Franca de Xira.
