The charm of palatial life. In a fascinating corner of the Marina Alta, very close to Denia, in the heart of the Costa Blanca, is this unique palace. When crossing its roads from the exit of the highway, we already appreciate the green color of the orange trees, forming a huge mantle that extends everywhere. White and orange are the colors that, alternating with seasons, make up the rest of the unique tapestry. The fruity smell sometimes, orange blossom at other times, is an aroma that persists throughout the different seasons. Upon arriving at this small town, about ten minutes from the sea in Denia, the calm, serenity, the calm of the environment with its inhabitants, begin to get drunk sweetly. The palace, initially feudal house in the 16th century, was inhabited by the Lord. After the expulsion of the Moors and subsequent repopulation, it was inhabited by administrators appointed to harvest the crops, guard and care of the palace. Several reforms and extensions take place in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries giving rise to the palace we know today. The palace occupies an entire block. Its constructed area is also of an important proportion, occupies 1,054 m2. We appreciate from the outset a sober architectural harmony and noble proportions, smooth walls and simple plans on the exterior facades. The main facade is developed with a large patio and a garden that frames it. No less important is the stone stairway of masonry. In each of its four corners we observe a different heraldic shield, each one related to the family lineage throughout the centuries, enriched with the rearing of its large windows, the main access portico, the door of the chapel and the access of the administrators. We have not been wrong. Ogival arches at its entrance give way to the great hall, with a large room on the right and oratory-chapel on the left. The mosaic that is drawn on the hydraulic floor, the large chimney that gives warmth to all that huge entrance, the arcades, the height of the rooms and the noble staircase that opens to our right, make us doubt whether to continue on the stairs or Delight in the inner courtyard. The sun and light flood the palace in the meantime. From this floor we also access the lush garden outside. We decided to see the inner courtyard first, with an included water well that formerly supplied the entire palace. To one of the sides the old kitchen and passage of farm animals. Right next door, a living room and a room that were occupied all year by the landlords. The roof always with wooden beams, and in front of us starts a wide staircase that gives access to the first floor and the "Cambra" on the second floor. Upon reaching the first floor, a distributor develops with a corridor on the left and another on the right, in which the different bedrooms are located. In front we arrive at a lounge with a fireplace that opens the way to a billiard room and a library. Once again, the heights and spacious rooms make us wonder again. From this floor we access a large terrace with arcades and wooden beams from which we can appreciate the fields that follow one after another, with spectacular open views that invite us again to enjoy the peace of the place. The second plant, perhaps the least important, is a "cambra", an area in which the grain was formerly stored after harvests. It is a diaphanous floor plan with windows and reduced ceiling height, although it is not deprived of luminosity. From this floor we access an outdoor terrace that overlooks the inner courtyard of the palace. The palace, by its proportion, is ideal for a small luxury hotel, having enough space to build rooms on the first floor and part of the second modifying, if technically possible, the height of the roof. The ground floor has several rooms and spacious pieces to recreate private dining rooms of different sizes, in addition, the patio area would be ideal in summer for outdoor dining. The entrance courtyard is also very suitable for celebrations of events such as weddings, baptisms ..., since once clean and debris, more space will appear than is seen today. Religious events with celebration in the palace would be possible as long as you want to preserve the current chapel, and prior agreement with the pastor and Archbishop of the Diocese of Valencia. The potential it offers is very large in terms of select and not very large celebrations, after proper restoration and interior adaptation. The area of La Marina Alta stands out for holding meetings, congresses closed to a few political leaders ... With the proper promotion and marketing, not only at the local level, but also at the regional and provincial level, it would offer a very optimal performance if it is channeled into the correct address, and you are given the air of exclusivity that you already own. It is a unique property. Less strong points: - Being a property of these characteristics and being a historical asset, the restoration forces to respect the facades using the same elements that already exist, not being able to alter the outside. As for the uses to which it can be destined, a meeting with the municipal architect is pending and confirming that it can be destined for other uses, besides that of a single-family residence. -Parking lot .
