A white island, a green palm and an orange tree ocean, two hours away from the Atlantic! Imad Rhamouni is Philippe Starck’s follower. He began his dream in his office in 1996 and was brave enough to put his concrete, metal and glass composition in the Marrakech countryside. Even Le Corbusier would certainly have greeted this challenging architectural work. Indeed, the arch, which covers with its protective veil this art piece, seems to be suspended in the air.
The European owners of this exceptional realisation have wished to live in Marrakech, as they would have on the seaside: in the open air, in permanent relationship with the water and the wind. They were successful. One would even experience difficulties trying to clearly distinguish the interior from the exterior or to find spaces without a breath of air. How delightful! The buildings disposition features numerous air corridors and basins, which soothes the atmosphere of this city, where the temperatures soar in summer. It is very pleasant to stay in the villa during winter as during the summer, thanks to the well-thought disposition of the patios, the sun visors and the arches.
