Situated approximately 56 km south of international tourist destination Florianópolis and 29 km west of the resort town Garopaba, with 11 km of walking trails and spectacular views of the coast and mountains in the neighboring 80.000 ha state park, this extraordinary piece of land offers seclusion and total privacy.
The residence is located approximately 180 m from a gated entrance. Built of reclaimed brick and wood, the 205 m² space includes a master suite
with balcony and separate office, a guest suite with balcony, a first floor TV room and library with veranda, and a living room with fireplace and veranda that adjoins the dining area and open kitchen. There is also a laundry room with ample storage and a garage with adjoining service area.
The 307 m² retreat center was designed to host large gatherings and comfortably sleeps up to sixteen people. Located approximately
230 m from a gated entrance, this multi-use structure includes two dormitory- style bedrooms with mezzanine balconies; one private
bedroom; three bathrooms; a commercial kitchen; a group dining area; an events room with fireplace; a small library
and living room; a meditation room; and a laundry area. The outside area features landscaped gardens, an outdoor shower, and a natural swimming pool with a large sun deck.
Ideal for family and corporate retreats as well as courses such as cooking, yoga, meditation, and environmental education, the retreat center could also be used as a weekend or vacation getaway.
The gardens around the main residence include a variety of ornamental plants as well as palm and fruit trees like banana, guava, lime, orange, berry, and avocado. Adjacent to the residence are an outdoor shower, a natural swimming pool with a stone deck, a hexagonal kiosk with a wood table with seating for up to 12 people, a gazebo with 11 hammocks, and an area for picnics and campfires beside the pond. There is also a maintenance building with storage for equipment, supplies, and restroom facilities for a caretaker.
As part of Brazil’s Atlantic Forest the property is home to a wealth of tropical flora and fauna. The abundance of bird species that inhabit the land
makes it ideal for birding. Sitting above the Guarani Aquifer, one of the largest and purest underground water sources in the world, the property is also home to many mountain springs and three major streams. In order to help preserve these water resources and the incredible surrounding ecosystem, 295 ha of the 400 ha total have been permanently protected as a private reserve (designated as RPPN I and II on
the map). The other 35 ha that include the existing residence also offer additional building sites.
