The building at Schillerplatz is situated in a central location, but besides the tourist masses next
to the green Schillerpark. The location offers an excellent spot for luxurious living right
between art and culture. Surrounded by the Art History Museum, the Opera and Naschmarkt,

The magnificent building was built as Hotel Britannia because of the Vienna World Exhibition
between 1871-1873 after plans of Carl Tietz in the Style of Renaissance. After the exhibition,
the Ministry of Justice moved in due to economic reasons, followed by the telecommunications
office.
The Architecture obtained its historic tradition while having adapted to modern floor plans and
interior. Right next to it is the Academy of Fine Arts, where artists are educated in the last 300
years. The building was finished in 1877 from known architect Theophil Hansen and also
designed in the Style of Renaissance. In the Paintings Gallery one can admire significant old
masterpieces of European artist.
