The history of the land on which the Residence of Philosophers will be built is saturated with the spirit of philosophy. On this land lived German philosophers who were part of a group of like-minded Goethe called "Storm and Onslaught": J.G. Hamann (from 1753 to 1759) and J.G. Herder (from 1764 to 1769). They set the goal of their lives to serve philosophical thought. In order for contemporaries to remember history and not forget the people who lived and worked in Latvia, we named the towers HERDER and HAMANN, and the project PHILOSOPHERS 'RESIDENCE. ARCHITECTURE OF THE QUARTER The architecture of the building continues the general idea of the quarter, visually the buildings resemble a stack of books stacked on top of each other, where each floor is a new book, new content with its own philosophy of approach to life. Terraces and balconies of each apartment of different sizes and directions help the architect solve the difficult task of visualizing this image and create opportunities for meditative relaxation for residents. The color solution of the architectural concept is based on the negative of a black-and-white photograph of a stack of books. HALL INTERIORS In the 12-meter hall of the house, behind the pages of an open book, a library will be located, with collections of works by philosophers who inspired the creation of the Philosophers Residence project, as well as with the works of other thinkers. From the hall, through the panoramic glass walls, views of the Philosophers' Avenue, skillfully landscaped and illuminated bank of the Ancient Daugava overgrown with age-old oaks and maples, open up. APARTMENTS Opening the front door to the apartment, you find yourself in a warm, cozy atmosphere of the interior, and a breathtaking grandiose view from the window appears.
