The Palace te of the Countess d'Edla in Parede, was the residence of Elise Henseler who after the death of the King of Portugal, D. Fernando I , with whom he married and was therefore awarded the title of 'Countess d'Edla'.
Due to her fragile health, the Countess was advised to change the sad and bucolic life of the new seaside resorts of Cascais Bay. The Countess d'Edla ordered the construction of the Palace in 1901, by the architect Nicola Bigagliater, presenting the projection of a house of romantic nature given by certain details of its elevation, such as the terraces and balconies and the carved stonework.
