It is located on the left bank of the Ceira River and most of its houses are made of stone with shale roofs. It has some attractions, such as a water-powered mill, a traditional mill, which works through a system of rods, dating from the year 1860, a bridge in Romanesque style and another in wood.
It also has an isolated chapel at the top of the village overlooking the harmonious valley and rustic houses from the old village of Candosa, which are now used to shelter animals.
Candosa is about 7 km from Tabua, county seat, and about 65 km from Coimbra, district capital and about 55 km from Viseu.
