The development consists of a Rural Hotel with 45 AU, one of which is integrated into the central building and sized for access to people with reduced mobility. The remaining 44 AU are villas with typologies of 1, 2 and 3 double bedrooms with autonomous access and also double door access to the villas.
There is also a central building where the reception and support services are located, including a multipurpose space for events, a restaurant, swimming pool (with toilets and shower) and staff accommodation with 3 bedrooms.
The project will be built at Herdade Marquês de Monsanto, located in Carvalhal, between the villages of Medellin and Monsanto, UF de Monsanto and Idanha-a-Velha, municipality of Idanha-a-Nova.
To the north of the central building there will be a space to support the agricultural component of the Estate.
The Herdade Marquês de Monsanto consists of 238 hectares, has several agricultural activities, is located in a preserved natural place, classified as a protected territory, protected by UNESCO, a place with an agro-forestry nature and with interest at the geological level, landscape and for its biodiversity. The Estate is all certified organic (PT-BIO-03) and has several crops, namely 10 hectares of vineyards, 10 hectares of olive groves, 10 hectares of cork oaks, 6 hectares of stone pines, chestnut trees, orange trees, lemon trees, among other fruit trees. It has 100 goats, 20 cows (black) both of indigenous breeds, 300 certified sheep, which graze on the Estate and produce organic milk collected by cheese-producing customers in the region. Pastoralism is the most relevant activity in the farm. In parallel, there is room for the cultivation of vineyards and olive groves. The productive forestry component
