Adam Desmond spent much of his career in the Investment Banking industry. After initial experience at the Mercantile Exchanges in Chicago and working at a few top tier brokerage firms, he founded his own firm, FIG Partners. The firm focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital raises in the financial sector. This experience fostered relationships with CEO's of banks throughout the country and their shareholders. The knowledge gained in negotiating and assigning value to assets is a benefit to clients in the real estate industry. After selling his portion of FIG Partners in 2016, Adam purchased a 400 plus acre ranch in the western slope of Colorado. Here he founded Needle Rock Capital to stay active in the capital raising in different sectors. He also founded Needle Rock Farms, an agricultural business. As a ranch owner, Adam has gained tremendous knowledge in large land purchases, water rights and other benefits that are gained from agricultural status. His own personal experience has allowed him to assist friends and colleagues in acquiring their own land/ranch properties in the local area. Adam has always had a passion for real estate and real estate investing. He has purchased several properties for himself and participated in bank owned notes collateralized by real estate assets. Adam is excited to bring his past experiences to the prestigious Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty team. Adam currently serves as a board member of a publicly traded Assisted Living company. He and his wife Julia split time between River Valley Ranch in Carbondale, CO and the ranch in Crawford, CO. Adam is an avid golfer, enjoys international travel and spending time with his two dogs. Adam graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics and Political Science. Adam still has his securities license active to compliment his National and Colorado real estate license.
